Glendale Chocolate Affaire 2018

Hello, gentle reader! It’s that time again. February in the Valley of the Sun can only mean one thing--the Glendale Chocolate Affaire is happening this coming weekend (February 9th through the 11th)! If you’re a regular reader of my post, then you know I simply adore this event.
For those of you who don’t know, you’re probably asking ‘What is the Glendale Chocolate Affaire’? Oh my! Well, as the name indicates, it has to do with chocolate….lots and lots of chocolate. Chocolate covered cheesecake, chocolate covered bananas, killer fudge (my DH loves the fudge and I’m under strict orders not to come home unless I’m bringing fudge with me). It’s not just chocolate though. There’s kettle corn and fry bread and all kinds of other deliciousness to be had, face-painting and rides for the kids and live music, too (and yes, there is dancing in the street).
The other great thing about the Chocolate Affaire? Books! And the authors who write them (yes, that includes me). There’s romance--contemporary and historical (my personal favorite and what I write), intrigue and suspense, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, true crime, mysteries and the list goes on. Something for everyone! I love hanging out with the other authors, but more importantly, I love introducing you to your next great read!
There are fabulous workshops, too. Whether you’re a newbie and always wanted to try your hand at writing or you’re a seasoned professional, the workshops offer something for everyone. They’re open to the public and they’re free.
So, if you’re wondering what to do with yourself this coming weekend (and you’re in the Glendale/Phoenix, Arizona area), come on down to the Chocolate Affaire for a little sweetness, our perfect weather, and a chance to meet some of your favorite local authors.

Remember, spread a little kindness wherever you go! A smile can go a long way to brightening someone’s day!
Marie
