About Dare to Hope:

She’s Betting on Love and the Stakes are High

The “Crazy Eights,” eight women who have been friends for 30 years, have a powerful connection yet rarely see each other. At a pivotal time in their lives, they create a way to remedy this predicament, an audacious dare contrived to bring them together for weddings – each participant must get married within twelve months. The stakes are high. Win the bet and lose your heart; or lose the bet and perform a personally mortifying task.

In the first of their stories, we meet Eliana, beautiful and brilliant, but starting over, focused on her career, not on some foolhardy dare. Longing for a family but recently divorced and on her own, Eliana sets her sights on a new job, a new home and accepting her single, childless status. Independent and determined, she has no idea that in less than six months she will both win and lose her heart’s desire.

Jeremy Klein, genius engineer and inventor, is also making life changes. He’s sold his startup to a major medical device company, becoming President and CEO, and a billionaire before he is forty. Although he’s gun-shy about the dating game, Jeremy knows it’s time to apply his smarts, sex appeal and new-found success to finding true love.

When Eliana meets Jeremy, they bond quickly. The couple has so much in common and a chemistry that sizzles. Winning Eliana feels like a fantasy come true to Jeremy. Their attraction is immediate and electrifying, and a one-night stand morphs into planning a future. But plans change. On track to wedded bliss, baby and all, Jeremy and Eliana are derailed by accusations that threaten their relationship, Eliana’s career and Jeremy’s future as CEO.

Spies, lies, allegations and misunderstandings abound, threatening to destroy their happiness. That is, until those “Crazy Eights” get involved, scheming and manipulating to win Eliana her happily ever after. Can a group of determined friends help Eliana and Jeremy hold onto love?

In the tradition of The Beguiling Bachelor Series, Madison Michael creates a romance series about independent and sassy women, sexy and successful men, true love, and lasting friendships.

Genre: Steamy Contemporary Romance

An Excerpt from Dare to Hope:
His grin was devastating up close – wide and welcoming, with a hint of naughtiness and the promise of shared pleasures. But it was his eyes, deep coffee brown and fringed with long dark lashes that were his best feature; piercing, intelligent and inquisitive eyes, trained on her.
Please, God, Eliana prayed quickly, do not let this man be the new sales manager. It would be lamentable if she had to keep him at arm's length. He was the first man Eliana had felt drawn to since Nico. If she was honest with herself, he was the first man she had ever felt this attracted to so immediately. It was enough to make her believe in love at first sight or fate.
"Hi," he stepped closer, ignoring the empty stool beside her to halt just inside her personal space. Usually, Eliana would have reflexively backed up, but she savored his closeness, the power emanating from his presence. Even in this stuffy bar, he smelled good – fresh, like soap and good whiskey. And up close, his eyes were more magical – a hint of gold dancing in their depths.
"Hi," she responded on a breath, letting the single word hang there for a moment before adding "You aren't in sales, are you?"
"Nope." If he thought it was a strange conversation starter, he kept it to himself. "Engineering and design, although I have dabbled in sales. I could be in sales for you," he offered in a voice smooth as brandy, redolent with sexual promise and a hint of curiosity. She laughed at his offer. "Are you in sales?"
"Yes, I am. I was thinking of what a crime it would be if you turned out to be my new boss. I'm meeting him tomorrow."
"Jeremy," he responded, extending his hand to shake hers. "Not in sales. Is your boss named Jeremy?"
"Thankfully, not." Eliana extended her hand, savoring the moment as Jeremy wrapped his long fingers around hers. She noticed there was no wedding band as she admired the strength and length of his fingers, the fine hairs on the back of his hand, and his grip - warm and dry. His skin was soft over fine bone and healthy muscle. Everything about him captivated her. "Eliana."
Jeremy seemed in no hurry to release her hand, but after several beats too long for politeness, Eliana pulled hers from his. "Is this seat taken?" he asked, already sitting down, not thinking twice about it. "Or perhaps that table against the wall? I am anxious to learn why you don't know who you work with, Eliana."
Eliana laughed and watched as Jeremy's breath stopped. His every emotion was transparent, especially the desire flaming in his eyes right now. A passion she reciprocated. Wholeheartedly. She couldn't remember such an instantaneous attraction. But with Jeremy, she felt electricity and lust move through her entire body, just from the touch of his hand and the sound of her name spoken in his rich baritone.
"Eliana," he rolled the word around his mouth as if tasting a fine wine. "What a lovely name." Eliana panties dampened. He was just saying words, but their underlying promise was undeniable. She wanted to be alone with him. She wanted to be naked with him. And all she knew was his first name.
Eliana nodded toward the table, questioning her sanity. She was sure about what this man wanted, but after only minutes, her body governed her head. Jeremy spoke briefly with the bartender, passed him a fifty like it was a single, and motioned for her to lead the way to the empty table. Before they had settled in their chairs, both had fresh drinks. Earlier, the bartender had responded to her beauty with decent service and half-hearted flirting, but he reacted with alacrity to the big tip.
"So, spill," Jeremy directed, leaning forward on his elbows and putting his mouth dangerously close to hers. Just a few inches, Eliana imagined, and they could be kissing. "I am dying to hear your story. I want to know absolutely everything about you." The way he lingered on the word 'everything' made Eliana wetter still. Oh man, she was in way over her head.

New Release - HARD LUST by Tina Donahue

Hard Lust
(PNR Reverse Harem - Hell Bent on Sin)
by Tina Donahue

Blurb:

Three sexy demons—what’s a girl to do?

Don’t ever trust a demon. Unfortunately, Megan has learned that lesson too late. The deal she made to save her sister's life––has landed her in Hell temporarily and about seventy years early. And now she has three sexy demons trying to tell her what to do.

Nope. Not going to happen.

These guys have never had to deal with such defiance. Andros figures she’s due for some erotic discipline, which he’ll happily provide. Racan’s pure alpha, his hardcore plans include bondage and submission. Quiet yet intense, Vespar expects endless kink to spice up their carnal play.

Who would have ever expected she’d end up falling for them? Too bad demons can’t be trusted…because someone is trying to kill the magic and threatening her stay in this lusty world.

Excerpt:

He flicked his hand. The picture sailed back to where it should have been, without him touching it.

Bile rose in her throat. It was useless to pray for anything reasonable here, but she hoped his supernatural powers didn’t include dipping her in boiling oil like characters suffered in horror movies. “You have to listen to me. I’m not supposed to be in…in…” She couldn’t continue.

He looked at her questioningly. “You’re not supposed to be in Hell?”

She nodded.

“In that case, you’d have to be innocent.” He fingered his ring. “The same as everyone else down here. Right?”

Her face grew hot. How dare he dismiss her concerns out of hand, not even pretending to listen to her. Fury replaced her fear, intense heat stinging her skin. “For your information, I only signed the dumb contract because I needed the dough for my kid sister’s experimental treatments since the state’s program wasn’t helping, she doesn’t have any medical, her boyfriend can’t put her on his, and mine was useless—high deductibles, a lifetime cap, the insurance company denying everything. The jerk who conned me into this swore I wouldn’t have to come here for decades, meaning when I got old and checked out. I’m only twenty-five. For him to send me here immediately wasn’t what I agreed to. He breached the contract particulars, which makes it invalid. No way am I staying.” She pivoted.

The door that had been behind her was now a solid wall.

Suppressing a shiver, she turned and faced him again.

He rested his hands on his flat belly and tapped his ringed forefinger.

Another normal gesture, except pure sin—the good, sexy kind—radiated from him.

Her legs got watery, his effortless masculinity chasing away her outrage and terror when it shouldn’t have. She locked her knees and squeezed her fists. “I want to talk to the person in charge.”

His eyebrows inched up. They were surprisingly dark given his light hair. “You mean Satan?”

Who else? His was the only name she knew besides Andros’s. If she hadn’t been too impoverished to save Holly’s life on her own, she wouldn’t be in this mess. Rather than pointing out the obvious and bitching, she poured on the charm. “Yeah. He’s good. Thanks.”

“Welcome. But as a newbie, you’ll have to wait several eons before he’ll put you on his schedule…if he does.”

A shriek caught in her throat. “I can’t stay here.”

He snapped his fingers. A paper bearing the word Contract at the top materialized next to him. He scanned the document. “Are you saying this isn’t your signature? If it’s not, then you do have a valid complaint. Take a look. Please. Let me know.”

The paper flew her way. She skittered away from it. “What if it is mine? That jerk demon promised—”

“Yeah, I got that.” He stood, his black dress pants hugging his powerful thighs. “Is your sister getting the treatments she needs?” Genuine concern rose in his eyes. “Is she better? Will she survive?”

His questions and unexpected worry touched her. “The docs swear she is and will, but—”

“Uh-uh.” He wagged his finger as he might to a rebellious child, his previous consideration gone. “We met our end of the bargain, and now it’s time for you to do the same.”

Her blood ran cold. “This is where the boiling oil comes in?”

He blinked. “What?”

She couldn’t believe he needed an explanation. “You’re going to torture me?”

“Torture? Like pulling out your fingernails or hammering spikes through your eyeballs?”

Sweat poured down her face and chest. She pressed her lips together, not wanting to give him any ideas.

Understanding sparked in his eyes. The emotion didn’t last. “Moving on, let’s focus on your duties here.” He rounded his desk and leaned against it. “Given your wait experience at Sally Jean’s, you’ll serve drinks in Hard Lust, the gentleman’s club I own along with Racan and Vespar, who you’ll meet shortly.”

She didn’t understand. “Gentleman’s what?”

“Club. It’s where the commotion is coming from.”

The wall trembled, pictures and mirrors jounced, crappy music swelled, and women and men bellowed in either pain or ecstasy.

He smoothed his pants. “You’re on duty twenty-three-seven and—”

About Tina:

Tina’s an Amazon and international bestselling novelist who writes passionate romance for every taste – ‘heat with heart’ – for traditional publishers and indie. Booklist, Publisher’s Weekly, Romantic Times and numerous online sites have praised her work. She’s won Readers’ Choice Awards, was named a finalist in the EPIC competition, received a Book of the Year award, The Golden Nib Award, awards of merit in the RWA Holt Medallion competitions, and second place in the NEC RWA contests. She’s featured in the Novel & Short Story Writer’s Market. Before penning romances, she worked at a major Hollywood production company in Story Direction.

On a less serious note: she’s an admitted and unrepentant chocoholic, brakes for Mexican restaurants, and has been known to moan like Meg Ryan in When Harry Met Sally while wolfing down tostadas. She’s flown a single-engine airplane (freaking scary), rewired an old house using an ‘electricity for dummies’ book, and is horribly shy despite the hot romances she writes.

Torr appeared to grow larger before her eyes. He straightened to his full height and looked down at her, his eyes hard. “I was protecting my king and what is mine.”
She swallowed, his stare clearly indicating he considered her his. She broke eye contact and looked past him to find the two men, Beth, Braigh, and Mairi watching them. Once again, she was the center of attention. Not the right place for a TWI agent.
Medieval. She needed to think like a medieval woman. What would Mairi do in this case? Actually, the poor woman might very well faint.
Though it rubbed her all ways but the right way, she kept her gaze lowered. “I’m sorry that helping Ian angered you. I will refrain from doing so again.”
She heard Torr sigh. “That is not what upset me.”
Daring to look at him, she hoped her gaze wasn’t too direct. “Then why were you angry?”
He folded his arms across his chest, usually a common defensive gesture, but one she had begun to believe was his thinking stance. “I did not like seeing ye in the arms of another.”
That was blunt and to the point. “But aren’t you in the arms of another woman every few nights?”
He looked away and dropped his arms before quickly changing the subject. “I believe food awaits us.”
“So it does.” She let her irritation spill into her tone of voice. His double standard grated on her nerves, but that was according to her own time. She had to stop letting him get to her. Crouching down, she picked up her shoes and walked barefoot to the blanket, completely ignoring the hulk strolling beside her.
When she sat on the blanket, Douglas caught her eye and shook his head.
Oh, go have dinner with Medusa! She took a deep breath to regain some balance.
Torr lowered his large body next to her. Holding out his hand, he offered her a chunk of bread and a square of cheese. Reluctantly, she accepted it. Crossing her legs beneath her, she took a bite. The sharp cheese woke her taste buds and refocused her thoughts.
He didn’t say a word as he ate his mutton and bread.
She appreciated the silence and the food, casting furtive glances at him. The man would definitely be considered “eye candy” in her age. Broad shoulders with large muscles in his arms, developed pectorals, and abs women sighed over. While she had only seen a glimpse of his thighs, she could tell by the bulge of his calves that they, too, would be solid strength. He was no cover model with his crooked nose, red-tinged hair, and pure maleness, but he was striking in his own way. Even more than his giant build, there was a purpose to him that forewarned he was a force to be reckoned with. She just couldn’t see him dying in battle.
“Here.” Torr held out a wooden cup.
She tentatively took a sip to find it was water. It enhanced the aftertaste of the cheese, one of the few food items she found palatable. She handed the cup back. “Thank you.”
His large hand covered hers but didn’t let go. She looked up at him. His deep blue eyes crinkled at the corners. “Ye have no need to fear me, lass.”
Maybe not physically, but definitely emotionally. She liked this big, kind-hearted man, far too much. His feelings for her, though only interest and lust, were not good. Better to keep him at arm’s length. She grinned. “I know.”
His brow rose and arrogance revealed itself once again. “Ye do? Well then, ye also know my bed is waiting for you.”
She swallowed the thrill of excitement that ran through her chest and instead focused on her modern irritation over his lifestyle. Though she tempered it, she wasn’t above a little sarcasm. “Which night?”
He scowled, his face taking on harsh lines.
Holy Hamlet, he looked mean when he did that.
“Lass, you test my patience.”
“Laird, you test mine.” She raised her chin just a fraction.
He scowled harder. Then his face relaxed, and he chuckled. “I think ye will fit into this clan very well.”
The idea of being a welcome part of the clan scared the hell out of her. Since her parents’ death, she’d created her own clan, so to speak. She couldn’t become attached to another, especially not in 1306. She needed to put distance between herself and this laird.
