Hello, March!

Hello, gentle readers!

Can you believe it’s March already! Weren’t we welcoming 2019 just yesterday? Gosh, time really does fly when one gets older. Amazing how that is, isn’t it?

Lots of things happening this month. Several birthdays within my extended family. DH’s is coming up, too, and it’s a big one! Not sure if he’s excited or dreading the fact that he’s now eligible for Medicare. My son is coming to visit this month, too! Can’t wait to see him.

But today, we’re celebrating our friend, Dolly. She’s a remarkable woman and I love her to pieces. I’ve never met anyone quite like her (though her daughters are just as amazing)! She’s in her nineties (and doesn’t look a day over 60…just goes to show what good genes and good living can do) and very active in community service. I’ve never known a woman her age (or any age, for that matter) who so willingly gives her time and her kindness to those who need it most. She truly has the biggest heart and the most loving attitude of anyone I know. And that makes her very special to me.

That’s not to say I don’t know (and love) others who have big hearts and loving attitudes. I do. I am so very blessed that way.  

And that’s about all for me―time to go cut up my veggies and make my salads for the work week so I can go have some birthday cake!
