Seriously, what could be creepier than a story about being in an abandoned mental institution with your long-time crush?  I’d never give away the smexxy details…are you afraid of the dark?

Dark Destiny is the third installment to Dani Wade’s Secrets of Covington Corner, but could be read standalone.  These hauntingly romantic novellas are perfect for curling up with your fav drink and cozy blanket!  I can’t recommend this series enough!

Wounded war hero, Cole Prince, chooses to hide in the shadows.  Coming back wounded with scars both seen and unseen, Cole can’t believe he let his friends talk him into venturing out to a bar for drinks.  Keeping his scarred face hidden the best he can, Cole is mesmerized by the bartender and is completely blown away when she looks upon him without flinching…and smiles.  In that moment, Cole has hope…hope that maybe he can find some measure of peace and happiness with this beautiful woman that sees the man beyond the pain.

Hope noticed the soldier the moment he entered the bar, but can’t figure out why he keeps hiding his handsome face.  Yes, he has the markings of someone that was wounded and lived to tell the tale, but looking into his eyes, Hope knows he’s going to be hers…if she can just get him to give her a chance…

Scarred Hero is one of my top romance reads of the year!  I’m so in love with beautifully broken heroes, and the author has given me a perfect one with Cole!  What a wonderful world we would live in if we saw each other with our hearts rather than our eyes!  We could all use a little hope right now.  Highly recommend this quick insta-love story!

Dray can’t figure out why this beautiful woman is giving him looks that kill.  It’s true he wasn’t his best self earlier, but if she’ll just give him a minute to explain, he has faith all will be forgiven.  Dray will do anything for a second chance at a first impression because there’s something magnetizing about this girl, and he’s gotta make her his own…

 

Brynn Paulin has brought this chick’s rock star fantasy to life!  Who hasn’t dreamed of running away to tour with their fav band?  This smexxy short is perfect for fans of insta-love and/or rock star romance!  Highly recommend!

Gothic Romance (Novella)

Once upon a time, Cara Gatlin was in love with the boy next door…until tragedy struck and the loss of his parents became her loss as well.  As time passed, Cara still finds herself fantasizing about the tall dark and mysterious Jacob Montgomery.  She has been researching the Montgomery Family history and is desperate for an answer as to why he turned his back on her.  As fate would have it, she finds herself invited to a masquerade ball with Jacob in attendance, and a night of passion soon turns into more questions than answers…will Jacob once again break her heart, or is there something much more sinister behind his coldness.

 

Shadow Manor is a quick read that reminds me of the gothic romance novels I loved to read with my mom.  While I wish the author would have given me just a wee bit more story, it appears this will be a series of novellas, and I’m looking forward to the next Covington Corner secret to be revealed!  Would recommend to fans of short smexxy romance with just a hint of mystery!
