Glendale Chocolate Affaire 2017

Hello! It’s early Monday morning here in beautiful Arizona, but by the time you read this, it will be Wednesday. Wait! I know what you’re thinking. It’s Monday. Why is she writing on Monday? She usually writes her posts on Sunday.
         Let me explain.
It’s been an incredibly busy weekend so…my schedule has been amended, my routine (yes, my precious, all important routine) has been *gasp* altered! For those of you who know me and read this blog often, you know that this is HUGE! I live by my routines (so I don’t forget anything). It’s really the only way I can get everything done.
So what had me so busy this weekend that my routine was adjusted?
Well, I finished my first round edits on A Kiss in the Morning Mist and sent them to my editor. Whoooo-hooo!
Spent some time with friends and family, which is always important. I do that whenever I can (and the heck with the routine). Watched the Superbowl. I am not, as you know, a football fan, but I will watch the Superbowl…for the commercials and the company.
Slept in! I know! That’s huge, too! I’m usually up before the sun, even on weekends (and of course, this put me off schedule big time…my first load of laundry is usually in the washing machine by 6:30 at the latest…obviously, I needed some serious shut-eye) but the biggest thing is that once again, I was privileged to sign my books at the Glendale Chocolate Affaire. This is a huge event here in the valley of the sun and I love it. What can be better than chocolate, good music and face-painting for the kids?
Well, romance, of course. And Science Fiction. And Paranormal. And Mysteries, cozy and otherwise. We have it all (as well as the fantastic authors who write them!).
The most amazing part?  Meeting the wonderful people who drop by to talk with us….readers and non-readers alike. It’s always such a joy to visit with old friends and make new ones, too.
And that’s all for me….the day job is calling my name and I need to get ready (I’m almost back on schedule!).

As always, happy reading!
Marie
