 A wickedly cute read!  Cats, dogs, wolves, and witches collide to figure out how to kick ass on the bad members of the community.

Cin is nearly murdered in a violent display from her wolf brothers directed by her witch of a mother.  And her mother has a powerful enemy who takes it out on Cin.

The curse Cin isn't able to avoid turns her into a golden retriever by day and she's herself for the nighttime with the codicil that she can't talk.  This is quite the problem when her appointed mate, Havoc, adopts her fury self.  Havoc's brother Han is a lot nicer to her, in a way.

Cin makes a handful of great friends after she leaves her pack and is in hiding from the relatives.  Great friends with great magic and schemes to save her, but with the constant and treacherous scenes that seem inescapable.  

Back to Havoc and Han and their family feud.  Can the fight between the brothers help Cin and lead her to a loving mate?  As long as she doesn't get killed.  I like to believe love is stronger than murder and root for Cin and her gangly group of friends to bring love as the final straw.

Ready to Were -Shift Happens Book 1 by Robyn Peterman

Hung Island, Georgia, not the place Essie wants to be relocated to for any amount of time.  The town she grew up in, was humiliated in, and never wants to go back to.
Essie's boss at WTF, (not what you're thinking) or Werewolf Treaty Federation, has a dual job Essie has been trained to do.  Well, one part of the job falls back on her work, but the other is a surprise only Essie can decide whether it's what she wants or not.   
Essie's condition to go to Hung Island rested on taking her BFF, Dwayne the gay vampire.  She needed as much mental strength going into the town that homed her former mate Hank "the Tank" Wilson.  Essie had ran from town when she found out Hank had been engaging in illicit affairs with other wolves not on her friend list.
Hank stays calm and cool at Essie's arrival.  He knows he's the best thing for her as the sheriff and the alpha of the wolf pack.  Why Essie believes what she ran from without talking to him gave her the opportunity to find herself, strengthen her confidence, and come back as the women he'd never give up.
But the job they have to do, save the models from a rogue pack of dragons, is dangerous and deadly.
Peterman scatters the story with witty language, silly actions, and a lot of sexy romance.  All characters in the novel deserve an award for getting through this dilemma!

Steal Her Heart by T.S Joyce

I always look forward to reading a story by T.S. Joyce!  Her wicked words and strong women and men, or should I add Shifters rule the story?!
Maris is a powerful woman even when pulled down by an ex-husband and the loss of her ability to run a complete ranch by herself.  When she names her cattle things like Marshmallow Face and Marmalade, you can't help love the soft side of her.  When she fights the wolves attacking her herd, she has another strong side that makes a reader proud.
Bryson has his own turmoil in loving his former wife. Guilt is a hard trick to overcome.  When Bryson sees the problems on Maris's ranch next to the one he works on, he chances himself to be of help in his own stubborn manner.
Maris doesn't find it helpful at all that Bryson buys her herd at auction, but what he does with it, and his special traits to help fight the wolves may change her mind.
Matter of fact, Maris is intuitive and notices the grizzly in Bryson, and tests her theory more than the average human would attempt. It's a delicious, evocative, and slightly dangerous test.
Bryson's surprise at her acceptance of his other half, the grizzly, doesn't immediately convince him she can handle his demeanor.  Not until he reveals his secret.
I rooted for their romance all the way.  Maris and Bryson are strong and honest in their acknowledgement of each other.  When they weren't sure they could make it together, I wanted to burst into the novel and straighten them out.  Fortunately, they have a way of figuring it out for themselves!
